Sandhills Promise
ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« promises to pay two years of tuition for eligible students.
Scholarship Details
For eligible students, ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« agrees to pay the tuition, technology, activity, and CAPS fees up to the in-state rate for two years, including summer terms.
- ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« will cover tuition up to the in-state rate for courses taken by out-of-state students. Out-of-state students will not be eligible for the Sandhills Promise Program during semesters that they receive other financial aid that covers in-state tuition rate.
- Eligibility begins in the fall semester after high school graduation and ends the summer semester of their second year.
- Federal and state grants, scholarships, and outside funding must be exhausted before ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« begins payment.
- Books and course specific fees are not included under the Sandhills Promise Program.
Requirements
Eligibility
- Be a resident of Moore or Hoke County.
- Be a private, public, or registered home-school equivalent high school graduate planning to attend ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« the fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
- Successfully complete at least four dual-enrollment courses through ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ«'s Career and College Promise program with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and a 67% completion rate by the time of high school graduation.
Enrollment
- Apply to Sandhills as a degree-seeking student and meet with a College Navigator.
- Students who completed a ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« application for the Career and College Promise Program are required to re-apply as a college student.
- Submit your high school or high school equivalency transcript.
- Apply for the Sandhills Promise by completing the online ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« scholarship application.
- Complete the using 2022 tax information.
Deadlines
Fall 2024 Priority Deadline: August 1st, 2024. The following requirements must be met by the deadline, to ensure your eligibility.
- A new ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« admissions application must be completed, submitted, and on record with the Student Onboarding office.
- Official high school transcript showing your graduation date must be submitted and on record with the ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« Registrar's office.
- Your ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« scholarship application must be completed, submitted, and on record with the ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« Scholarship Office.

Your 2024-25 FAFSA and all additional required financial aid paperwork must be completed, submitted, and on record with the ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ« Financial Aid Office.
Don't wait until the week of the deadline to submit your FAFSA to ÁùºÏ²ÊÍøÖ·´óÈ«, you will not meet the deadline.
Once enrolled, students must continuously meet the financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards outlined by the state and federal government (maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and complete at least 67% of all courses attempted at Sandhills Community College.)
